Polly Moose, 77 of the Atoah community of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.
She was a native of Cherokee County, and the daughter of the late Robert and Maude Neal Guffey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Guffey and Ray Guffey, Jr.; sisters, Linda Wilson and Susie Phillips; and Polly’s twin sister, Molly Guffey.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Bertha Guffey of Andrews, N.C.; daughter, Shena Ledwell of Robbinsville, N.C.; sisters, Mary Secrest of Archdale, N.C. and Tina Chandler of Andrews, N.C.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
The Revs. Eddie Hollifield and Patrick O’Dell officiated. Burial followed the service at the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. at the chapel, prior to the service.
