Judy Moose Adams, 78 of the Moose Branch Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, N.C.

She was the daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Johnson Moose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Bill Moose; her sister, Evelyn Wheeler; and her brothers, J.B. Moose, Cole Moose, Earl Moose, Jasper Moose, Tab Moose and Herman “Pud” Moose.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Wanda Ann Jenkins and Cherylene Jones, both of Robbinsville, N.C. and Tracey Lee Cable of Andrews, N.C.; her sons, Jimmy Earl Burchfield of Robbinsville, N.C. and Tommy Lynn Burchfield of Almond, N.C.; her brother, Charles Moose of Robbinsville, N.C; her sisters, Laura Mae Burchfield and Diane Whitt, both of Robbinsville, N.C; and her special friend, Paul Van Etten of Robbinsville, N.C.  

She has 22 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Coy Adams and Patrick O’Dell officiated. 

The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel, prior to the service. Burial followed at Old Mother Cemetery.

Townson-Smith Funeral Home was honored to serve Ms. Adams’ family.
