John J. Denzer, Jr., 68, passed away in the arms of his family on June 29,  2022.

God saw John was tired, when a cure for his cancer was not to be had here on Earth. He had fought a good fight, ran his race, and kept his faith, so God wrapped His loving arms around John and whispered, “Come unto Me.”

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa; son, John J. Denzer, III (Jake); daughter-in-law, Hanna Crowe; bonus grandson, Cyrus; and five siblings.

He was raised in North Attleboro, Mass., and served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

After serving his tour, he earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and went on to be a decorated police officer and retired from the Tampa Police Department.

Upon moving to Robbinsville, he became a successful N.C. General Contractor and N.C. Real Estate Broker. He built many beautiful log homes in the county and helped families to find their forever homes.

His passion was working on and restoring cars with his son Jake, and traveling with his family in his free time.

He will be remembered by many for his sense
of humor, quick wit, problem solving and willingness to help those truly in need.

John’s memory will live on through his family, the amazing homes he built and the lives he saved as a police officer.

A celebration and tribute to John’s life will be held at a later date, when his grandson, John J. Denzer, IV, can be present for all to meet.
